BRATISLAVA, March 18 — Slovak police has closed several roads across the country due to persistent snowfall that is being seen in majority of the country, said local media.
Several roads in Trencin district and Malacky district of Bratislava region are impassable for strong winds and snowdrifts.
People who were stuck in the ensuing traffic jams are being helped out by emergency services. Several accidents were also reported without fatalities.
It is expected that a number of areas in Slovakia may receive as much as 25 centimetres of fresh snow overnight.
